Don't risk
an MES integration project with an integrator who doesn't have sufficient
depth in data management methodologies and major database applications.
Our programmers are particularly valuable because
they not only have both professional programming and database expertise
— including high-level certifications — but they also
have a wealth of integration-specific industry experience.
We specialize in designing data management applications
which preserve the integrity of your information, and we are well-known
for designing intuitive, robust user front-ends.
Our programmers, engineers
and IT specialists
ensure project success by adhering to our structured project
methodology. The programming department steps can be condensed
into the following key phases:
Phase 1
Identify the way the business operates with respect to the
project being defined. (Activity model)
Phase 2
Define the specific objectives of the project and document
those deliverables.
Phase 3
Determine who-needs-what-information and then design a data model
that fits the information needs of the company — being careful
to tailor the solution to accommodate the way the company operates
its business.
We are particularly efficient at this phase because
BCI focuses on the manufacturing industry. Our programmers are already
familiar with many of the concepts and terms you use in your plant.
When we tailor your new software, we do so
with a more informed perspective. Ultimately, our programming time
is more efficient because of our head-start knowledge of your field.
Phase 4
Develop the solution in modules and incrementally test each module.
Phase 5
Set up a representation of the target installation's schema and
run through all the deliverable items. In addition to verifying
that the system meets all the deliverable requirements, the system
should be tested for abnormal exit recovery and data integrity validation.
Phase 6
Commission the new system, train the users, and deliver the final
documentation.
MES Integration
Host interface and data management (data integrity) methodologies
are fundamental to MES strategies. Our view of MES
integration is to use standard products designed for the MES suite
and then either extend or tailor those packages as necessary to accommodate
how you — the user — operate your business.
